Vancouver is Canada’s third largest city with a population of more than 2.1 million people.

Bordered by the Coast Mountain Range and the Pacific Ocean, Vancouver is located in southwestern British Columbia and is recognised as one of the world’s most liveable cities.

Archaeological records indicate the presence of Aboriginal people in the Vancouver area from 8,000 to 10,000 years ago. In 1886, the city was named Vancouver after Captain George Vancouver, a British Naval who explored the area in 1792.
